Tests

Reasoning and knowledge

Ten measures of reasoning, problem solving and acquired knowledge, from short matrix sets to broader ability batteries.

The four groups

These ask you to work something out rather than to describe yourself, so unlike the personality measures they have right and wrong answers. Some sample a single kind of reasoning, such as spotting the rule behind a sequence of figures; others spread across several, mixing verbal, numerical and spatial material.

A score reflects how you performed on this occasion, on these particular items, against adults generally. It is not an IQ in the clinical sense: that requires an individually administered test given by a qualified psychologist, under controlled conditions, and nothing taken online is a substitute for it.
