Tests

Self and wellbeing

Two measures of how you regard yourself and how life has been going.

The four groups

These ask about you rather than about a task, and they do not all ask about the same span of time. Quality of Life asks how things have been recently, so the answers move with your circumstances. Self-Esteem asks how you regard yourself in general, which is steadier. Personal Integrity asks what you do when holding to a value costs you something. Taking any of them twice a few months apart can give different answers, and on a short self-report scale a small difference is as likely to be measurement error as real change.

None of these is a diagnostic instrument and none of them is a clinical assessment. On Quality of Life and Self-Esteem it is a low score, not a high one, that is worth attention: it means a number of the questions described a difficult stretch. If that is your result, or you are struggling for any other reason, speak to a doctor or a licensed psychologist rather than reading anything further into the number. Scores are read against adults generally, the one comparison group held for these instruments.
